Jennifer Mazzarolo CPA,CA - President
Jennifer is a maverick. After obtaining her CA and spending several years in public accounting with a Big 4 CA firm, Jennifer took a risk and made the leap to industry. There she spent several years working in various roles for large, multinational Tier 1 Consumer Packaged Goods companies. When the opportunity came to make an industry change to Pharmaceuticals, she took the risk. She spent several years in a large, industry-leading multinational organization, lived through a global merger and then made a bold move to a smaller, entrepreneurial Biotech where she was Director of Finance & Business Controller.
Jennifer, by now, had developed her technical & interpersonal skills, and worked alongside tremendous PEOPLE, but it was time to explore a new industry completely; Recruitment. Taking the biggest risk of her career, she was able to leverage her vast business network, and harness her natural talent at building strong personal relationships to become a top performer in the industry. Relying on her credentials, her emotional intelligence & customer service orientation, the risk paid off. Jennifer's performance & drive led her to become a Partner in an industry-leading GTA Accounting & Finance Recruitment firm she helped form and build, but her purpose has driven her to create Maverick Consulting Group.
Jennifer routinely volunteers her time to support CPA Ontario and is President of the Hamilton CPA Ontario Association Committee and a prior member of the Board of Directors of Hamilton Golf & Country Club as Finance Chair. Jennifer is a CPA Mentor and past Chair of the Marshal Volunteer Committee for the RBC Canadian Open.
Jennifer has a keen sense of humour, and a positive, direct operating style; both have shaped her as a maverick.
Jennifer is passionate about PEOPLE & leadership.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Jennifer has been a proud hands-on volunteer at the Venture Centre of Good Shepherd in Hamilton, ON. The Venture Centre is a local food bank providing emergency food & clothing to those in need in our community. It is the distribution point for 95% of their donated items and processes more than 450,000 kgs of food per year.
The Good Shepherd Emergency Food and Clothing Programs rely on the generosity of the community and corporate sponsors to help us serve those in need and build a healthier, stronger Hamilton.
